No coordination, very little thought about brand strategy, and a &amp;quot;throw it against the wall and see what sticks&amp;quot; mentality.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The analogy that comes to mind is that we&amp;#39;re seeing social media and DIY social technologies do for effective brand marketing what desktop publishing did to efective visual design in the 1980&amp;#39;s. Anyone who can create a Facebook page is an interactive marketer and anyone with Adobe Creative Suite is a professional designer.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7008008496292679544/4134893616995684169/comments/default/6071185100416624608'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7008008496292679544/4134893616995684169/comments/default/6071185100416624608'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.digitalmarketingworks.com/2010/01/its-not-about-technology.html?showComment=1263486692568#c6071185100416624608' title=''/><author><name>Matthew Schwartz</name><uri>http://www.ms-ds.com</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img1.blogblog.com/img/blank.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.digitalmarketingworks.com/2010/01/its-not-about-technology.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008008496292679544.post-4134893616995684169' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/7008008496292679544/posts/default/4134893616995684169' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-177741032'/></entry></feed>
